What is a "Jet Eye Retrofit"?
The Jet Eye Retrofit is a Jet Camera system that replaces the existing hose currently installed on your Combo truck. This system allows the operator to see exactly what is going on in the line while the cleaning is occurring.
Can this system be installed on any combo truck?
Yes, the Jet Eye camera system can be installed on any truck with a compatible water system and hose reel. This system is shown above installed on a Vac-Con combination truck, but it can be installed on most Vactor, Camel, Aquatech, Gapvax, Vacall and Clean-Earth trucks.
How can this system double my production?
Typical jet operators have no idea of what is going on in the line while jetting. Every operator has a "feel" for what is occurring down in the line, but they are blind and so is everyone else running without a jet camera. Putting a Jet Eye on the end of the hose makes an operator and their equipment much more useful. What used to be a 3 pass, full throttle operation can now be accomplished by one pass at half throttle. Less water and fuel consumption adds up fast for those cities on a budget.
Does my combination truck have to be new? Can it be a used truck already in service?
Our technicians can install the system on a new or old combination truck. The best setup for the current offering is a water system of 60 to 50 gallons per minute at most. The hose that carries water to the nozzle is a 3/4" jet hose which limits the flow to a maximum of 60.
Can I install the system myself?
We don't recommend that the end-users install the system themselves at this time. We have the installation down to two days currently and the install cost is minimal.
How long does it take to install?
A normal installation takes 2 days normally.
Right now a technician is sent out after the hardware arrives and can install the system with minimal assistance and minor modifications. |
